Description of Learning Type CE Event: This class will serve as an introduction to using organizational behavior management (OBM) in the workplace to maximize employees' success. Specifically, we will review a few key strategies to help tackle some common behavioral challenges when working with RBT®s. You will find that these tips and tricks will not only help you facilitate better workflow in RBT®s but also help you generalize these skills to other types of employees and many kinds of workplace environments. The best part is you will find that we already use many of these strategies in our daily practice as BCBA®s to improve client behavior, so these are all concepts you know and love! This is a great course to help you learn more about OBM and enhance your leadership skills to impact your clientele better.

About the Instructor: Lindsay has been in the field of ABA for over five years in various roles, including being a RBT®, Training and Program Specialist, Practice Manager, and BCBA®. With a degree in Organizational Behavior Management, she is passionate about disseminating the implications of OBM through the field to impact clients and employees positively. She primarily works with children on the autism spectrum in clinic-based settings as well as via telehealth. Additionally, she makes RBT® training content video packages and provides tutoring/supervision to RBT®s and individuals studying for or planning to take the BCBA® exam.

Target Audience: BCBAs® who work with RBTs®, BCBAs® who are interested in OBM, supervisors or leaders in any workplace setting. Those who want to learn more about the benefits of organizational behavior management.

Learning Objectives for Participants: As a result of this course participants will be able to …

  1. Identify and operationally define challenging behaviors RBT®s engage in when working with clients
  2. Complete and analyze results from the Performance Diagnostic Checklist
  3. Implement OBM and ABA behavior-changing procedures to alter the performance of RBT®s

To earn credit, you will be required to watch all video portions and pass a quiz about it with a score of 100% or higher. You can retake the quiz as many times as needed, but you may not receive exactly the same questions each time.
