Recorded: Counseling Skills or Soft Skills?

**This course will provide the participant with 1.5 General Learning Type BACB® CEU**

Description of Learning Type CE Event: This class introduces BCBAs® to foundational counseling skills that mental health professionals learn during their training and use daily, such as active listening, reflecting, summarizing, and using silence. These techniques enhance the human connection, making behavior analysts more approachable and effective in fostering trust and open communication. All BCBAs® who engage with other humans—whether clients, caregivers, or colleagues—can benefit from learning these relationship-focused tools. By integrating these skills, behavior analysts can strengthen collaboration, improve engagement, and create a more supportive and connected therapeutic environment. While you won't be able to counsel others after this class, the hope is that you'll get an inside view of what makes counselors so trustworthy to others!
