Description of PD Event: Struggling to find a rhythm during your sessions so that you can take immediate and accurate data? Want to know why data collection is important during your session? Then you are in the correct place. This course will review why data collection is important, barriers to accurate and consistent data collection, as well as supports and interventions to increase timing, accuracy, and consistency of measurement during RBT sessions.
About the Instructor: What’s up y’all! It’s me, Nicole from the SNABA fam! I bring to your courses over 10 years of experience from a variety of settings including in homes, in clinics, and in schools. My experience across all things SNABA provides learners with an in-depth application of the science of behavior. I am in all settings an educator, taking pride in a gentle approach to learning, allowing the learner to navigate their learning experience, and develop critical thinking and autonomy (for both children and adult learners). I continue to teach undergraduate psychology courses at SNHU as an adjunct professor while pursuing my doctoral degree. My passion is sharing the benefits of science with everyone.
Target Audience: RBTs who want to learn about why consistent and accurate data collection is important!
Learning Objectives for Participants:
- Define data collection integrity and procedural fidelity
- Identify why accurate data directly impacts client outcomes
- Recognize common barriers to accurate data collection
- Apply at least two strategies to improve data reliability in sessions
To earn credit, you will be required to watch all video lessons and pass a quiz with a score of 80% or higher. You can retake the quiz as many times as needed, but you may not receive exactly the same questions each time.
