We’ve all worked with individuals on the autism spectrum who we might describe as anxious, but what does this mean in behavioral terms? Is anxiety within our scope of practice as behavior analysts or should we refer these clients to psychiatrists or medical doctors? Is anxiety behavior? Do behavior analysts even talk about feelings? In this webinar, we will answer all of these questions! We will start by talking about the relationship between anxiety and autism and learn how to functionally define anxiety as behavior. After learning how we can understand and define anxiety as behavior, we will discuss how you can use behavioral methods to measure, assess, and treat anxiety in children with autism.
Target Audience: Board Certified Behavior Analysts and Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts
