Course Description:
This is our first course diving into Applied Animal Behavior (AAB)! Have you ever gone to a zoo, aquarium, or watched an animal trainer and thought to yourself, “That looks like the same thing I do with my clients?” Well, the truth is that it is! Many people want to know how to use behavior analysis outside of the scope of ASD or have identified that they want to learn how they could generalize their behavioral skillset to animals. This course is an opportunity to learn about the rising field of AAB, its history within behavior analysis, and opportunities for AAB’s expansion. You will leave this course understanding the prevalence of animal behavior within the science’s history, the seven dimensions related to animal behavior, motivating operations of animal behavior, and foundational behavior analytic procedures used with animals in human care. Come learn about the science we love and how it used with animals daily!
Target Audience: Board Certified Behavior Analysts and Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts
This course will provide the participant with 1.5 Learning Type BACB CEUs.
To earn credit, you will be required to attend the live online session and pass a quiz about it with a score of 80% or higher. You can retake the quiz as many times as needed, but you may not receive exactly the same questions each time.
