Description of General Learning Type CE Event: Studies show that only 39% of women orgasm during partnered sex, with that number dropping for first-time hookups. Much of what we have been told regarding pleasure in sex leaves out one of the most important sexual organs: The Clitoris. Together we can learn how to increase the likelihood of having clitoral orgasms through techniques such as ACT, conditioning, and reinforcement. These methods will assist in dismantling cultural messages and increasing knowledge to fulfill desire of increased orgasms.
Instructor Bio: Rachel Benson (she/her) is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and has been working with the neurodivergent population for over ten years in various settings, including school, home, and clinic locations and water therapy. Rachel is currently under practicum for her Sexual Educator Certificate. Her current work is focused on sexual health, safety, relationships, and empowerment with both neurodivergent and neurotypical populations. Her philosophy is grounded in access to sexual health and sexuality for all and being able to obtain a comprehensive and inclusive sexual education.
Target Audience: BCBAs®/BCaBAs® who work with adults and are wanting to expand their knowledge around clitoral orgasms including common barriers and techniques to improve frequency. Moderate to advanced, CBS-C Level 2.
Learning Objectives for Participants: As a result of this course participants will be able to …
- Identify a minimum of two methods to increase the likelihood of clitoral orgasms. o Identify structures of the vulva including the clitoris.
- Operationally define an orgasm. o Define and cite examples of the dual control model as it relates to sexual outcomes. o Identify common environmental modifications that can be made to increase likelihood of clitoral orgasms.
- Provide examples of respondent and operant conditioning with relevance to clitoral orgasms
- Demonstrate use of the ACT hexaflex, matrix and mindful breathing while acknowledging and accepting defusion.
- Differentiate positive and negative reinforcement within a stress response and different types of desire.
- Utilize positive reinforcement to dismantle negative and inaccurate cultural messages.
- Provide examples of a minimum of two preference assessments to identify potential reinforcers in order to increase clitoral orgasms.
To earn credit, you will be required to attend the live online session and pass a quiz about it with a score of 100%. You can retake the quiz as many times as needed, but you may not receive exactly the same questions each time.
