Description of Learning Type CE Event: Depression rates are extremely high in the Autism population. Learn treatment methods to help treat autism and depression while staying consistent with ABA standards. This CEU covers what to look for, risk factors, and treatment methods to assess and address depression concerns.

About the Instructors:

  • Katherine Saint, PhD, LPC, BCBA-D, Katherine has her doctorate in Behavior Analysis and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Katherine presents locally and internationally on topics related to autism, mental health and behavior analysis. Katherine has a private practice focusing on mental health counseling and is the Director of Training at Fox Valley Autism Treatment Program in Appleton, WI. Katherine has designed college courses as well as published books and articles related to mental health. Katherine also teaches master level behavior analytic courses at Pepperdine University.
  • Carlos Torres, B.S., Carlos is a published author, coach, and Program Director of a young adult program for people with disabilities. Additionally, he creates curriculum and designs groups to develop social skills, vocation skills, leisure skills, and relationship skills. In his free time, he coaches special needs sports teams for the Miracle League of Wisconsin. Carlos has a degree in special education. He dedicates his time to help at risk children and young adults gain skills for independence.

Target Audience: BCBAs looking for guidance on addressing mental health and ABA.

To earn credit, you will be required to attend the live online session and pass a quiz about it with a score of 80% or higher. You can retake the quiz as many times as needed, but you may not receive exactly the same questions each time.
