Description

**This course will provide the participant with 1.5 General Learning Type BACB CEUs**

Description of Learning Type CE Event: “Burnout and “Self-Care” have become hot topics…..and for good reason. What if I were to tell you that for us, as behavior analysts, maintaining personal well-being is not just a suggestion, it’s an ethical responsibility? Throughout this presentation, we will explore how chronic stress not only impacts the body but also our work as clinicians. We will dive into the influence stress has on the nervous system, digestion, inflammation, and long-term health. Participants will learn to recognize the signs of stress and burnout and understand how these physiological changes can compromise both personal wellness and professional performance. Together, we will explore how nutrition and lifestyle affect the stress response, and how the gut microbiome, blood sugar balance, and nutrient status influence inflammation, neurotransmitter synthesis, and overall well-being. Through behavior analytic principles, participants will learn to build and maintain health-promoting habits, strengthen self-care, and sustain ethical, client-centered care. By connecting stress physiology, nutrition, and behavior, this training equips practitioners with practical tools to help beat burnout.
