Description

**This course will provide the participant with 3 General Learning Type BACB® CEUs**

Description of Learning Type CE Event: If you work with families, you *for sure* work with at least a few sleepy children! In this 3-hour CEU you will learn how to combine the science of sleep with the science of behavior to create effective and sustainable sleep-change programs for the families you serve. You’ll discover why many children struggle with falling asleep at bedtime (and maintaining their sleep overnight) along with specific considerations for children diagnosed with ASD. This course is so fun and full of information, you’re guaranteed to walk away with some valuable “uh-ohs” and “oopsies” regarding your own sleep habits as well!

About the Instructor: Emily Varon is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a dedicated focus on sleep-related behaviors. She has worked in the field of behavior analysis since 2000 and has devoted her practice to improving the sleep habits of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder since 2010. By combining the science of behavior analysis with the science of sleep, Emily creates a consumable learning opportunity for BCBAs to enhance their practice by providing context for the way sleep and behavior both complement, and sabotage, one-another.

Target Audience: BCBA, BCaBA, LSP, OTR – Intermediate; professionals who develop behavioral programs and goals for children diagnosed with ASD and their families.
