Instructor: Rosangela Estrada, BCBA, LBA, RMHC-I

Description of Learning Type CE Event: This CEU explores nutrition-related behavior through the lens of behavior-analytic self-management. Participants will examine how behavior analysts can apply concepts such as stimulus discrimination, stimulus equivalence, self-monitoring, reinforcement, response effort, stimulus control, shaping, and visual analysis to everyday nutrition choices. The course reviews macronutrients, nutrition labels, food tracking, and calorie balance as measurable variables that support informed decision-making and data-based behavior change. Through practical examples and real-world applications, participants will learn how behavior-analytic principles can be used to promote sustainable nutrition habits and long-term health behaviors.

About the Instructor: Rosangela, A.K.A Rosie, better known as @Behaviorfy, is a BCBA, NY/NJ licensed behavior analyst, and Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern (RMHC-I) in the state of Florida. Rosie has been in the field since 2016. In 2021, Behaviorfy was born with a mission to bring quality training to RBTs and slowly grew as a source of material prep for aspiring professionals in the field, including BCBAs. Behaviorfy also heavily focuses on sparking conversations about essential issues in the field, ranging from neurodiversity and client dignity, ethical behavior, supervisory practices, and other controversial issues, such as private practice ABA. You can find Rosie on Instagram @behaviorfy, and check out her website, behaviorfy.net, for study materials, supervision resources, freebies, and other services!

Target Audience: This event is for…

• BCBAs and BCaBAs
• RBTs and behavior technicians
• ABA students and trainees
• Supervisors interested in socially significant adult behavior change
• Clinicians working on self-management, health behaviors, routines, or lifestyle-related goals
• Professionals who want practical, relatable examples of data collection, self-monitoring, shaping, reinforcement, and stimulus control outside of traditional clinical scenarios

Learning Objectives for Participants: As a result of this course participants will be able to …

1. Review self-management and its components to understand its relevance in nutritional choices
2. Use stimulus discrimination to conceptualize carbohydrates, proteins, and fats as measurable components of food
3. Explain how nutrition labels and macronutrient breakdowns can be used as data to compare food options.
4. Use stimulus equivalence to make quicker choices & stimulus discriminations around food items
5. Describe food tracking as a self-monitoring and data collection procedure of high social validity
6. Use visual analysis to identify expected weight trends during deficit, maintenance, and surplus phases
7. Describe how nutrition-related behavior may be influenced by reinforcement, response effort, stimulus control, and shaping.
8. Identify practical behavioral strategies (e.g., Self-management, reinforcement) to support nutrition-related behavior change

*Course 2: Assent in Action: A Practical Skills-Based, Assent-Based Approach to Structured Learning #Recorded (3 ETHICS CEU|~152 min)

**This course will provide the participant with 3 Ethics Learning Type BACB® CEUs**

Instructor: Parker Ellison, MS, MA, BCBA, LBA-GA

Description of Learning Type CE Event: This course bridges the gap between contemporary assent-based literature and daily clinical practice for behavior analysts. While research highlights a severe scarcity of practical, assent-based protocols and procedures (Morris et al., 2021), this training will teach attendees how to convert peer-reviewed assent-based treatment criteria into structured interventions through a detailed demonstration including direct video models with a real client. This will include learning a process of implementing attending and assent response training in the context of demand fading. Participants will be provided protocols for the demonstrated intervention and an empirical assessment to identify possible stimulus aversiveness in social eye gaze.

About the Instructor: Parker is a BCBA with a clinical background teaching skills and addressing challenging behavior across the spectrum of severity in both home and clinic-based settings. In the clinic setting, he most recently served as the Director of Clinical Training for a multidisciplinary practice providing ABA, ST, and OT.
Currently, he is the founder of Ellison ACT Group, a private practice specializing in clinical behavior analysis utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). His practice focuses primarily on supporting neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ adults through individual sessions, providing values-driven parent guidance for autistic children, and implementing a specialized “medication runway” program that collaborates with psychiatrists to help individuals collect and self-manage data during psychotropic medication transitions.
Passionate about Relational Frame Theory (RFT) and the ACT account of private events, Parker has completed advanced training from industry pioneers including Steven Hayes, Kirk Strosahl, Mark Dixon, DJ Moran, and Russ Harris. He also leads an interdisciplinary ACT book club in Atlanta for upcoming practitioners across multiple therapeutic fields to learn about ACT.
Known by colleagues as the “Teacher BCBA,” he enjoys translating theory into structured, accessible tools. He has authored comprehensive company-wide RBT training programs, an original 97156-friendly Family Guidance Curriculum, and clinical ACT guides aimed at translating adult practice into working with children using ACT. His approach to assent-based care is rooted in the practical philosophy that reinforcing active, willing choice is fundamentally more effective and values-driven than coercion.

Target Audience: This event is for…

o BCBAs looking for training on designing assent-based interventions and incorporating assent-based interventions into practice.
o BCBAs searching for training on designing demand fading interventions with assent as a priority.

Learning Objectives for Participants: As a result of this course participants will be able to …

o Design a flexible, client-paced, assent-based approach to demand fading.
o Design a flexible assessment procedure to evaluate the appropriateness of using eye contact before selecting it as an assent response.
o Incorporate assent and assent withdrawal measurement into practice.
o Design clinical interventions by translating empirical criteria from assent-based literature into practice.

*Course 3: Shifting Gears to Independence and Empowerment: Understanding & Adapting Behavioral Support Services for Teens & Adults #Recorded (1.5 General CEUs|~82 min)

**This course will provide the participant with 1.5 General Learning Type BACB® CEUs**

Instructor: Samantha Olivas MA, M.Ed, BCBA

Description of Learning Type CE Event: Just like learning to drive, supporting young adults to find their way in the world is simultaneously exhilarating and terrifying. Without an instructor who is patient, supportive, and who lets them figure things out, many neurodivergent people will fall by the wayside and never develop the skills to create a meaningful life. Through an updated behavior analytic model, we can provide support to these young people in ways that fit how they learn, how they engage with the world, and how they organize their lives. This talk will break down the challenges we find in
the crossroads of life between adolescence and adulthood, and present a new way to expand your clinical knowledge and confidence while still providing high-quality behavioral services to an expanded range of clients.

About the Instructor: Sam (she/her) is the owner and chief clinical officer of Iris Behavioral Health in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sam provides adaptive behavior therapy and group support for late-diagnosed, high-masking, and self-identified neurodivergent adults and teens, using both her 10+ years of clinical experience and her lived experience as someone who needed that type of support. Sam is focused on organizing people and environments to support a high quality of life for all.

Target Audience: This event is for BCBAs, BCaBAs, or other professionals who are looking to expand their
practice to work with teens and young adults in transitional phases of life.

Learning Objectives for Participants: As a result of this course participants will be able to …

1. Understand intersectionality of disability, culture, and identity as they relate to supporting a variety of neurodivergent individuals through behavior analysis
2. Consider effective, identity affirming methods of behavioral assessment for use with older clients
3. Use a constructional approach with individuals to create their own behavioral goals and increase buy-in from clients and support people
4. Identify effective and forward-thinking methods of reporting and documenting progress and challenges
5. Talk about barriers to supporting high-masking neurodivergent folks and those with hidden disabilities
6. Learn, generalize & maintain adult-focused skills in natural contexts
