Recorded: Masturbation Station Bundle: a masturbation-focused bundle for behavior analysis includes access to all 3 courses listed below for a total of 4.5 General Learning Type CE Credits (courses may be taken in any order).

Course 1: Vulva Masturbation, Autism, and ID/DD #recorded (1.5 General CEUs|~95 min) 

 **This course will provide the participant with 1.5 General Learning Type BACB® CEUs**

Description of Learning Type CE Event: This workshop is designed to give clinicians the solid background knowledge needed to develop effective teaching and support strategies for anal masturbation skills and knowledge for clients. The workshop will cover everything from anatomy to hygiene and teaching strategies.

About the Instructor: Landa Fox (she/her) is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst and Certified Sexual Health Educator living and working in lək̓ʷəŋən Territory (Victoria, British Columbia). She has worked in the field of autism and disability support since 2003. Currently, her work focuses on sexual health, relationship, and safety education for autistic and neurodivergent people. Her work often centers around creating and modifying existing sexual health and relationship education to be meaningful, accessible, and inclusive. She also works to create behaviour support plans to address contextually inappropriate sexual behaviour. All of her work is grounded in principles of harm-reduction. She trains caregivers, teachers, staff, and communities about sexual health development and inclusive sex ed. Her special interests within the area of sexual health education include how to promote a culture of consent and body autonomy for autistic children and youth; developing affirming and rights-based sex education; and advocating for access to sexuality and sexual health for everyone.

Target Audience: BCBA and BCaBAs working in clinical practice; those working with youth and adults; those who are pursuing the CSB Certification; anyone with an interest in learning more about sexual behavior and teaching. For intermediate; clinicians with solid clinical backgrounds who may be working with more complex cases.

Learning Objectives for Participants:

  • Develop a working knowledge of vulvar anatomy that is critical in understanding and teaching vulvar masturbation.
  • Recognize ethical considerations, including relevant BACB Ethical Codes, that are necessary to consider when addressing vulvar masturbation and health.
  • Identify appropriate teaching strategies and resources that can be utilized in teaching vulvar masturbation and hygiene.

Course 2: Anal Masturbation, Autism, and ID/DD #recorded (1.5 General CEUs|~97min)

Course 3: Masturbation 101- Responding to Self-Stimulatory Behavior at Various Developmental Milestones #recorded (1.5 General CEUs|~89min) 

**This course will provide the participant with 1.5 General Learning Type BACB® CEUs**

Description of Learning Type CE Event: Not sure how to handle a client touching themselves in a public setting? Unclear on what is appropriate versus when to intervene? This training offers your insight into appropriate sexual developmental milestones and provides a toolkit of how to respond as a BCBA® or professional. It also outlines when and how to teach sex education topics, and how to utilize sex toys to promote healthy masturbation routines.

About the Instructor: Makenzie Danis is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst dedicated to providing child-centered and innovative ABA services. Makenzie holds degrees in psychology, child development, and graduate degrees in both special education and ABA. She has worked in the public school system for over 8 years ensuring students have effective behavior support plans and the skills to be successful in whatever life path brings joy and fulfillment.

Makenzie Danis is currently pursuing an AASECT certification and is currently a certified sexuality education through the sexual health alliance. She knows there are gaps in this area of education nationwide and is dedicated to working with families to target behaviors that come up around sexual health and individuals with developmental disabilities. Makenzie is also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in both small groups and individual therapy. She is thrilled to be back, more recently, in the classroom teaching and providing BCBA school services.

Target Audience: BCBA®s or professionals who want more information on how to appropriately respond to self-stimulatory behaviors or behavioral analysts who want more information of what is developmentally appropriate at various milestones and how to support their client’s sexually without inadvertently causing harm or shame.

  • Identify appropriate teaching strategies and resources that can be utilized in teaching masturbation and hygiene.
